This is a collection of photographs of places in Canada and the United States that I have visited while travelling on vacations, holidays and weekend trips.
The two banner photographs at the top and bottom of this menu page were contributed by a friend after visiting Australia.
My photos are available in two sizes. Medium photos are approximately 1024 x 680 pixels. Large photos are approximately 1500 x 1000 pixels. The file size of large photos tends to be twice as big as medium photos. This means the photos will be slower to download from the Internet and display on your screen. The programming code that I have created for my website should zoom all photos larger or smaller to find the best size to fit on your screen.
Your physical screen size is: pixels. Your usable screen size is: pixels. The usable screen size is the space that is available on your screen to display my web pages and photographs. To calculate the usable screen size we start with the physical screen size and subtract the areas around the edges of your screen that your computer operating system is using for things like menus, taskbars, sidebars and scroll bars.
Medium is the recommended size for anyone who wants to quickly and casually view my photos using a smart phone, tablet or computer.
